Current goings-on:
More Community Medic Trainings! We'd love it if you could attend!
Monday, May 23 - Friday, May 27 5:30-9 p.m.
Learn to provide first aid in a variety of sitations, such as: civil unrest, disasters, and other places where no immediate medical care is available. We will cover scene safety, victim assessment, splinting, safely carrying injured persons, burns, shock, mainstream and herbal medicines, and a whole lot more including the legal framework allowing you to help others with fear of legal reprisal. No medical background is required. The environment is welcoming and supportive, while challenging enough to make sure you can practice what you've learned. There is no charge for this event. Donations are welcomed but please don't let lack of moneys keep you from getting involved! There will be future sessions so if you can't make it every night, don't be discouraged, you'll have a chance to make up the portions missed another time.
The training will be taking place at the Goodman Community Center.
